Monthly Archives: September 2011 I found 4 praying Mantis in the asparagus today. There was a female being held by a male and while I was watching another male jumped to embrace her as well. It…  I came across these Praying Mantis in our Asparagus. 24 hours later and they are still there. I imagine that the male is a little afraid of becoming dinner. They have been visiting the feeders since spring but I have not had a good chance for photos.
