The Portrait Chair is an ongoing series of images.

It features images of friends, acquaintances, family, and somewhat willing volunteers posed with an old metal folding chair.

The main objective of the images is to show something about the subject's career, hobbies, or interests through the use of surroundings, equipment, tools, gear, etc.

Since beginning the series however, it seems like the chair has taken on a personality of it's own so don't be surprised to see some just-for-fun snapshots of passers by who were convinced to "Take a seat".
